If you would prefer to read the programme in Welsh click here to download a pdf Welcome to Glasbury’s second full season of live professional arts! We’ve planned a fantastic selection of events for you again this year. For our music fans we’ve lined up a concert with internationally-acclaimed a cappella singers, Coope, Boyes & Simpson (quoted as “quite simply the best purveyor’s of [unaccompanied] song in Britain”). We’ve also booked Opera on the Run’s belting new show Turning Heads. In November there’s exciting and energetic English Moves and African Grooves with the fabulous Boka Halat. This year’s Christmas show is an absolute festive treat for families – circus madness with Circus Berzercus! Families will also love our light-hearted theatre show in February with The Fabulous Old Spot Theatre Company, and in March we’ve a trip down memory lane in words, images and song with This Farming Life. Workshops : Performing Arts - in addition to a vocal workshop with Coope, Boyes & Simpson, you can also learn the dance moves with Boka Halat! Visual Arts – new for this season: painting workshops for both adults and young people with our first ever Glasbury Artist in Residence – Kate Freeman (abstract artist). See page 4 for full details. For the photographers amongst you, on page 4 you’ll find details of Glasbury’s Annual Photographic Competition. Want to come to a show but need transport? For just £2 return, we’ll transport you to and from events. This will run between Hay and Glasbury / Gwernyfed, with selected pick up points en-route.
