Glasburyis noted as a angling and canoeing centre. It is situated on the A438 between Brecon and Hereford at a bend on the river Wye with a backdrop of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
The oldest part of the village (dating from 5th century) is on the Radnor side of the bridge with several of its facilities located on the south side.
On the Radnor side lies the public access to the river, used by many visiting canoeists. There is a charge for launching these canoes which is collected by Glasbury Community Council.
There are 2 Chapels and 2 Churches [CLICK HERE] to visit Glasbury Churches online.
