Glasbury Arts Annual Photographic Competition This year’s competition has just one over arching theme :
A World of Curves
Our world is full of curves, whether in relation to people, places, landscapes, seascapes, architecture, the arts, sport or an abstract perspective.
Judges will be looking for a creative view of the photographer’s interpretation of the theme, and for pictures that have impact.
Entry Rules
Photographs can be colour or monochrome
Each section is divided into adults and young people (under 18).
Pictures must be at least 250 mm x 200mm.
Pictures must be mounted on a mount no larger than 400mm x 300mm. (Under 18’s can be unmounted).
Photographers can enter up to 5 prints in each section.
There will be a charge of £1.50 per photograph for the adult competition but entries are free for under 18’s. A cheque for the appropriate amount should be enclosed with the photographs made out to: Glasbury Village Hall— Arts.
The best 60 pictures will be exhibited at the Glasbury Exhibition on 5/6/ 7 November 2010 at Glasbury Village Hall.
Each print should be labelled on the back with the name, address, telephone number and/or email address, and print title.
If you want your photographs returned and cannot collect them, please enclose the appropriate postage and packing.
Closing date for entries 30 September 2010.
No one involved in the organisation of Glasbury Arts is eligible to enter.
The Judges’ decision will be final.
